Pocket Portfolios

1. Do you think these pocket portfolios are a good way to market your photography business? I think this is a really good idea. I think it is much more appealing than a business card and is just enough to give a taste of what you have to offer.
2. What are some advantages to using this style in your opinion? it is small enough to not take up a lot of space yet just enough to show off some of your work.
3. In your opinion, what are the disadvantages to using these little books? it might be too small. maybe not enough to gain enough attention.
4. Do you think Matthew Jones was justified in his defense of not sharing his publisher? i think so. just like photographers who take senior portraits, why would you give away your locations?
5. Where do you place the blame for the misleading headline, on the writer, or the website publisher? the website publisher. however, if the writer didn't write a headline and left it up to the publisher then it is the writers fault.
6. In this age of "trolling" did you think the series of comments were appropriate? i think it was appropriate but kind of annoying. it is his right not to give away his publisher.

Slow Sync Photography

1. What are two ways to get an image in low light?
using flash or using a slow shutter speed.
2. What is one disadvantage to using both of those ways?
with flash- the subject could be really bright and the background could be dark. with a low shutter speed, you could get motion blur if you are shooting a moving subject.
3. What is a solution to the problem?
slow sync flash.
4. Explain front and rear curtain sync?
front curtain sync- tells your camera to fire the flash at the start of the exposure.
rear cutrain sync- tells your camera to fire the flash at the end of the exposure.
